Create behavioural routines that are easy to maintain. Designed to be quick and engaging, the app features simple evening check-ins to track preventer inhaler use, symptoms, and daily challenges. These check-ins naturally open up a supportive space for conversations between children and their parents.
Security and privacy are built into the app's core. All tracking data is stored strictly on the device and is never shared without consent. Highly personalised, action-packed adventure stories are generated using anonymised data points.
Enjoy weekly in-app updates alongside optional printed comics delivered to your door. Each story is a tailored, personalised adventure with a plot that mirrors the child's real-world health journey celebrating them as the hero while providing national guidance that aligns perfectly with their lived experience with asthma.

Standard medical diaries often feel like a chore, which can lead to logging burnout and missed doses. Comic Journal is designed to shift that dynamic by applying the principles of Graphic Medicine.
We turn routine data entries into powerful visual metaphors: a pollen spike becomes a supervillain, a completed inhaler dose is a shield upgrade, and a consistent logging streak builds the hero's narrative arc.
Rather than relying on simple alarms, our goal is to help children engage positively with their own wellness. The app is built to capture hidden tracking barriers, such as school environment challenges, side-effect worries, or simple forgetfulness. Giving parents and NHS clinicians clearer visibility into daily care plans.
